The simple elegance of this minimalist-style table was achieved through the interplay of a strong, linear leg design, and a supple, circular, rounded-over top design. The legs are mildly tapered as they reach the floor, enhancing the design's implication of "lift". The 1/4" laminate "stripes" of African Wenge found in the top are staggered at decreasing distances as they approach the edges, providing the viewer with a subtle illusion of curvature. Similar lines of Wenge are found reiterated in the leg's inlays, unifying base and top into a singular, cohesive design.
The Solaris coffee-table is imbibed with Danish-oil and finished with semi-gloss polyurethane.

This series of furniture was designed to beautifully incorporate softly curving shapes with strong linear elements. Constructed from domestic Cherrywood, (much of it cultivated from my own yard), has an attractive curly book-matched figure in many areas, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the piece. The pulls are hand-shaped Black Walnut, designed with a very subtle wave-like pattern.

This very unique, hand-sculpted table is constructed entirely from solid African Bubinga; an extremely attractive deep-orange/ rouge hardwood with incredible chaotic figure and contrasting dark purple striations. The design was influenced by the organic shapes found in elk antlers, however I decided to invert these shapes towards the interior of the piece, drawing the eye towards whatever smaller pieces you might choose to place there...perhaps a turned bowl or ceramic vessel.

This coffe-table was inspired by taking a long walk along a meandering river bank while a softly lyrical melody rolls through your mind. It's constructed from solid American black-walnut. The elements are hand-shaped with conversely sculpted smooth curves on the inner and outer edges. A very unique, flowing desing indeed.
